At Kampung Lumbung, we believe in making your stay as memorable as possible. Here are a list of activities how you might want to spend your time inside and outside of Kampung Lumbung:

URBAN PERMACULTURE AND ECO-EDUCATION CENTER

A 10,000 square meters of land dedicated for urban permaculture, showcasing various edible plants. Guests will be able to be hands on — seeing and learning firsthand simple and practical permaculture practices that are applicable to bring back home.

ECO-PARTICIPATION WITH SABERSPUNGLI (SAPU BERSIH SAMPAH NYEMPLUNG KALI)

Head to the river and get your hands dirty cleaning with Batu’s local trash volunteers. Poor waste management and people's littering habit in Batu and Malang have resulted in trash pollution of the Brantas river, an important livelihood source and waterway for the people living in many cities of East Java.

Most of the volunteers came across non-biodegradable plastic, often just tossed by pedestrians or from vehicles. Together, we pick up the trash and motivate others to do the same. By spending a few hours together picking up trash, we gain a deeper understanding of the consequences of being careless about our daily waste.

NATURE TREKKING AND MOUNTAIN CLIMBING

For the more energetic, we can arrange trekking and mountain climbing in:

• Mt. Ijen

• Mt. Butak
